Preparation for Marriage

All couples wishing to get married must book the church and contact the local priest well in advance of making preparations for their wedding day.

All couples must complete the Pre-Nuptial inquiry forms in their local parish at least six months before they wish to get married. Accord: From January 1st 2009 all Marriage Preparation Bookings will be done via the

website - www.gettingmarried.ie.

It is particularly important that couples planning to get married abroad must contact the local priest before making any arrangements with the travel agent or wedding co-ordinator. This should help to ensure that no serious difficulties arise before major commitments have been made.
Instruction from the diocese, " Wedding arrangements must only be made when the couple meet with their priest and commence the pre-nuptial inquiry process...." This is part of further directives to be followed by priests in the diocese. Further details on the matter from your priest.

PARISH PRAYER MINISTRY

Please join us by saying the prayers on our PRAYER CARD each day.

We offer our prayer for the stated intentions of Pope Francis: We are constantly mindful in our prayer of those from our community who are sick, at home or in hospital: For the many who request the support of our prayers & often express their needs by writing them into the Intention Book placed in the Blessed Sacrament Oratory..........Lord, accept our prayers and favour us with the graces you have in store for us.

Pope's Intention for March 2024

For the new martyrs
We pray that those who risk their lives for the Gospel in various parts of the world inflame the Church with their courage and missionary enthusiasm.

Each year, the Holy Father asks for our prayers for a specific intention each month. You are invited to answer the Holy Father's request and to join with many people worldwide in praying for this intention each month. From time to time, the Holy Father may add a second prayer intention related to current events or urgent needs, like disaster relief. The second prayer request will help mobilize prayer and action related to the urgent situation.

The Holy Father has entrusted these intentions in a particular way to the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network (also known as the Apostleship of Prayer), an organization that works to encourage Christians to respond to the Pope's appeal and to deepen their daily prayer.
You can find more information about the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network on their website http://popesprayerusa.net/

(The Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network will also publish any urgent prayer intentions of the Holy Father as soon as they are received from the Holy See.)
