Seachtain na Gaeilge 2009
Once again this year, we immersed ourselves in all things Irish for one week.
In preparation for this, the children had 4 weeks of Irish dancing lessons, mostly in the fresh air in the schoolyard. They were delighted that they remembered so much from last year and learned more new steps for our 2 Annual Céilí on March 19
Harry Long, our Music teacher, taught more Irish tunes on the tin whistle.
The teachers of the school used this opportunity to teach new Irish songs and poems. The Céilí event was a showcase to perform all that had been learned about Irish culture.
