Art In February 2009 the children took part in a poertry competition. They wrote some brillant poems and they also illustrated them. We put them up on the classroom door for all to see. Best of luck with the competition!
In February 2009 Kay (Pete's Mammy) came in to do some art with the children in Mrs. Curtis's room. The children got to make windmills from scratch with a helping hand from Mrs. Curtis and Kay. They got to learn all about wind energy which is in conjunction with our green schools programme. When the windmills were complete the children brought them outside to see how they worked. Here in St. Louis N.S Rathkenny we love to do Art. We have a parent, Kay Mc Cabe (who is an art teacher) that comes in to help Ms Coogan and Mrs. Curtis. Have a look at some art we have done below!
