Halloween 2008

Halloween is always a great time at school, we get to do art, write poems, stories and lots more. This year we even got to dress up on the day of the holidays. Mrs. Curtis and Ms Coogan dressed up as well which was great fun. We found it hard doing our work that morning because they looked soooo funny! Have a look at our art, stories and poems we had great fun doing these, we also dressed up (see photos below), so don't be too scared!

This Halloween we made this Witch to hang up in the classroom, we made her from different materials that we have collected, wool , paper, ribbon etc. Doesn't she look good! Watch out for her over Halloween high in the sky!

STORIES

Trick or Treat

I'm Kate telling my story. One Halloween night I was out trick or treating. It was normal like usual. Nothing was happening. Different people had bonfires and fireworks. I was looking around. I had lots of sweets. I turned away from the house and the power went out it was pitch dark. I could'nt see anything. I felt all alone but I wasn't. I heard a sound. It was like someone screaming. IT WAS SOMEONE SCREAMING. I followed the sound. It was creepy. I had no idea what I was doing . I found the noise. It was in the police station. I went in and sneaked past the front desk.The police were watching a scary movie. I went over to a cell. There were two skeletons there. One was crying for help and the other one was screaming. I was so scared. I wanted to get out but when I turned around the door was gone. The skeleton grabbed me and the other one was tying a rope around a pole that they broke off the cell. They made a hole at the end. They put my head through the hole and I was never seen again. Now I roam the earth each Halloween night!

The Graveyard

It was Halloween night. We were at the bonfire having a party. There were lots of people and monkey nuts and marshmallows. After the party we were on our way home from the bonfire and the road was dark and gloomy. A few minutes down the road we were passing a strange dark scary graveyard. We decided to take a shortcut. We hopped over the gate and there was weird sounds coming from a headstone. I was scared. Sooner or later the noise stopped and suddenly a boney hand came through the grass. We jumped in fright. A skeleton ran after us. We ran for our lives. We ran to the end of the graveyard as fast as we could. A skeleton caught me. I tried to get away but the skeletonwas too strong and he hung me from a tree. My friends ran like hell and we never saw each other again in this life. However I still visit them in their dreams each Halloween night and never allow them to forget me.

Halloween Night

Clunk Clunk went the man with the stick in one hand and a lantern in the other. 'Uuuah' went the man walking down the road, heavy chains on his feet, like the people you see chained in a jail. I saw him walk down by our gate. It was the 30th October the day before Halloween. My suit was made for the night. The morning I saw the man talking to himself I vaguely heard him say 'tonight, the boy, then the world'. That night I was walking around trick or treating. It goy very silent I was near a bush. Then 'UUUAAHH' something big crashed into my head. Falling to the ground I saw a blurry lantern on the ground. Trying to get up I fell back down. Something sharp dug its way through my hand. Five seconds later I felt the man kicking me. First with his boot the chain followed. A few seconds later I felt a stick stab my chesty. It went blurry then clear then dead. Now I roam the earth on the night of Halloween looking for revenge.

Halloween Horror

One Halloween night I went trick or treating with my cousins. The first house we went to was nice and welcoming but when we opened the bag of sweets they gave us we found a note. It said 'go to the house next door'. At first we were scared but then we thought it was just a trick. So we moved on to the next house. It looked haunted but still we went in. John the oldest opened the gate. It squeaked. Patrick was scared. We all were. The house door opened. This was really spooky. We went in the door. There were spiders everywhere. Then the lights went out. Suddenly the door locked behind us. We had to stay the night. It was creepy. When we woke the next morning Lauren was gone, we never saw her again. I will never forget that night.

The Haunted Move

It was the eve of Halloween when my master decided it was time to move to a new haunted house. I didn't see anything wrong with our old haunted house. The stairs creaked and the cupboards were filled with spider webs and ghosts came to nad fro. When I saw the brochure for the new house I thought I was going to die living there. 'We leave tomorrow darling', cackled my master. That night I did something drastic. I was on my way down the stairs repeating in my head paw paw look around and so on. When I got to the kitchen I headed to master's cauldron. As I got all the ingredients I recited the recipe in my head. When the potion was ready I took a sip and 1 2 3 spoof!!! There was a cat the exact same as me except the fake was mindless and stupid. Quickly I ran and hid behind the couch. The next morning master took the fake me and flew off on her broom to a new haunted house. So I got to stay where I wanted and witch didn't get hurt so everyone wins I think.

The Haunted House

One stormy Halloween night I was walking with Ginger. We saw a big big house. It looked haunted. So Ginger and I decided to go in. We opened the gates. We walked up the path and knocked on the door. The door swung open. There was no one home. We continued into the kitchen. There was blood all over the knives. Then there it was, THE BIGGEST SPIDER EVER. Ginger and I ran for it up the stairs. We hid in a creepy bedroom. We could hear someone coming in. Ginger and I screamed but no sound came out, we were trapped. Ginger and I looked out a hole in the wardrobe. We could'nt believe what we had just seen. There they were, Wilma Witch, Spooky Sophie, Ger thre Ghost, Daffy Devil and their other friends. We listened carefully. This was a secret meeting to plan Halloween spells and chaos at schools. Ginger sneezed. We were caught. The only way to stop us spreading the news was to turn us into toads and they did.
