Rathkenny School

Rathkenny N.S is a small country school with two teachers and forty-one pupils. We are like one big family. Small children would like this school because class sizes are smaller and big brothers and sisters are always around to look out for them.

There are lots of sports to get involved in and if you don’t like sports you have the school garden. We have a computer room, a library, a school garden, and a soccer/football/hurling pitch. Come to Rathkenny N.S. we have great teachers, pupils, facilities, sports and lots of parents getting involved.

Rathkenny is small but modern. We have it all!

Rathkenny School

The name of our school is St. Louis N.S. Rathkenny. Most people like to call it Rathkenny N.S. It is a brilliant little school with only two teachers and forty-one pupils. Everyone gets on well with one another. Children of all ages would enjoy our school.

We have a well equipped P.C. room. French and music are taught throughout the year and we also have swimming classes every Spring. We also have football and hurling when the weather is good. The whole school is involved in environmental issues and we hope to get our green flag very soon. We are working on our new woodland area at the moment. We have a school garden with lots of vegetables, herbs, garlic and wild flowers. We have two seating areas for the summer time. We have a sand pit for the junior infants to play in at break times.

Our school is very progressive and we hope to get an interactive whiteboard in the near future! Things are looking very bright in our school, just like the pupils!!!
