Visit of Mairéad McGuinness MEP As the EU celebrates 50 years this year, the children in classes 3rd - 6th undertook projects on the EU members states and how Europe actually works. We invited Mairead McGuinness MEP to our school on January 19th 2007. She presented a workshop on Europe and viewed the children's projects! She was most impressed by the high standard of the children's research and claimed to have learned a lot herself personally from the day! It was a very memorable day for all concerned and 'thank you' to Mairead for taking time to visit us and we look forward to her next visit!
