Emmaus

The village in Judea, seven miles (11 kilometers) from Jerusalem, near which Jesus, now risen, revealed himself to two disciples as they walked along the road towards the village. Cleopas and his companion were prevented from recognising Him, until the breaking of bread. Luke 24: 12-53.

The exact location of Emmaus of the New Testament is disputed by tradition and by scholars.
